Blueberry Muffin Smoothie
Smoothies seem to be my go to snack/meal when I am not sure what I am craving. I love that I can pack in many nutrients and flavors into one easy to consume, beverage. As of late, I have been trying to be more consistent in having a smoothie at least 3x a week. On days I don’t make a smoothie, I still take my Athletic Greens. I don’t buy take a multivitamin supplement anymore. I know I’m getting a full daily multi through my greens powder. On days I do make a smoothie, greens are always included in the recipe.
I have several smoothie recipes that I rotate between. This one is SO delicious. I like to have this when I am craving something sweet and hearty. I purchased this protein on a whim and so glad I did. If you love carbs, sweets and blueberries, keep reading.
—Ingredients—
1 cup of frozen blueberries. I add a couple frozen strawberries too, so it’s more like 1 1/2 cups of frozen fruit.
1 banana
1 1/2 cups of plain oatmilk
1 tbsp *bee pollen
2 tbsp almond butter
2 scoops of KOS Blueberry muffin protein powder
1 scoop of Athletic greens OR *Green Vibrance (love both of these) & they both provide a scoop.
Blueberry Muffin smoothie
She’s cold, smooth, sweet, and gives you that hearty blueberry muffin taste, whilst still getting all your vitamins and minerals for the day.
It tastes SO yummy and is a great quick meal, sweet snack or post work out treat.
Almond butter is packed with so many nutrients. Omega 3 (healthy fats) brain and heart food, protein, vitamins, and fiber.
Bee pollen is also full of protein and rich in B vitamins. Gives you a little energy boost, while supporting your immune system.
This protein powder is the MVP. She is plant based. A blend of blue-spirulina, adaptogens, and elderberry.
Protein blend is: pea, flax, chia, quinoa and pumpkin.
You can swap for any milk substitute of your choice. Oat milk is just my favorite. It mixes so well and has a creamy taste. Perfect for a blueberry muffin.
I love, love, love Athletic Greens. I use this DAILY by itself in lemon water. I’ve been using up the remainder of my Green Vibrance in my smoothies. This does not taste as good alone with water, but great in a smoothie. These are two amazing green supplements, IMO.
Let me know if you make this smoothie for yourself. Tag me on Instagram with your smoothies. Do you like smoothie recipes? I feel like a smoothie is just so versatile and you can tweak it so many different ways depending on what you are craving.
Enjoy and see you next week!
