Facial Cleansers I Always Return To

When you repurchase a skincare product, you know you like it. I love to try new products, so unless it really wows me, then I will probably try something else. I can’t tell you how many times I have gotten a new product and it not work well for my skin type. I try to never waste a product, so I will either use it on my body or give it away to someone. Cleansers are arguably the most important step in caring for your skin. It’s the first step to really cleaning the skin and preparing it for the products you will put on after. I always use two cleansers. One as a pre-cleanse, which is an oil based cleanser. Second, with a gel based cleanser. I have a post here all about “double cleansing”.

Some insight on my skin type. I have hormonal, sensitive, combination skin. My break outs tend to be on my lower face, chin or neck. I have dry and oily areas and am prone to congestion. So with all of that, I am very picky about what I use, because, a lot of products just don’t work for me. I like to branch out and try new products just to see if there is something I might be missing. These 8 products are always on rotate. They are my go tos. I know they are effective and I don’t have to think about it.

First Cleanse (oil based)

Each of these have been repurchased at least 3 times. They remove all my makeup, do not irritate my eyes, and doesn’t leave a residue.

Second Cleanse (gel based)

Again, repurchased many times. I have been using the Dermalogica cleanser, on and off for over a decade!

Dermalogica special cleansing gel

*Is Clinical cleansing complex

Naturium Niacinamide cleansing gel

Beautycounter Countermatch foaming cleanser

*next one I want to try: Peach and Lily Power Calm Hydrating Gel Cleanser

Don’t just take my word for it. Do your own skincare research before you try something new. You will find all of these have outstanding reviews. All of the products listed are linked for your convenience. I hope I introduce you to your next cleanser. ;)

XO,

Charlene
