2023 Spring Favorites

Hi guys!

I am tad late sharing this post seeing as we are fully in the summer season but better late than never I guess. I haven’t shared a favorites post since late February! I have been in a Vanderpump Rules vortex the past couple of months, lol. If you have been following all the juicy drama, you know. Now that the season has wrapped, I am back to my regularly scheduled routine. Some of my personal favorite YouTube videos and blogs are seeing other creators favorites for the season/event/month, whatever it may be, so I like to do the same. It’s so interesting to see other peoples favorite picks. It was hard to narrow this down and not make it so long, so some items I will carry over to my next favorites post at the end of the summer. :)

Pacifica Scalp Serum

I got this during Whole Foods annual Beauty week and it’s life changing. I have never really used a scalp serum before. I’ve applied oils to my scalp and masks but not a serum. This one has rosemary and mint so it provides a nice fresh awakening stimulation to the scalp. I like to apply about 6 dropper fulls onto my scalp about 30 minutes before I jump in the shower. I do this before I wash my hair. Which is about 2x a week. Once I am in the shower I use a scalp massagers and really work the product in. This serum has helped my scalp and hair health. After washing and conditioning my scalp feels so pure and clean. I also am smitten with this bottle. It’s glass and just so cute on your vanity.

Frownies Facial Patches

I think these facial patches are incredible and actually work! Frownies has been around since the late 1800s! They are facial patches specifically for smoothening and softening fine lines. If you do get botox this is a great way to extend the results and if you don’t, this is a great alternative for fine lines. I use the forehead patches specifically, but there are other patches for other areas of concern. With nightly consistent use, these really help soften and tighten your skin. I will say it can be difficult to be consistent with using these each night as it is a little time consuming. Some nights I just want to do my normal skin-care routine and not add this process on top of it, but if you are dedicated and want to apply these each night for a month or so, you will definitely notice results. I wish I used these sooner!

Boxer Briefs (for her)

Boxer briefs, yes, but for her. I used to steal Sean’s briefs because they were just the most comfortable underwear to wear lounging around the house or to sleep in. I do not find women’s underwear comfortable. Typical boxer briefs are not made for a vagina so they don’t have that double lining pad that typical women’s underwear would have, so income these. These are so soft, comfortably forming, not too thick or too sheer. Think of it like regular underwear extended down to your thighs. Lately my night time uniform are these, an oversized sweater (or tee) and socks. It’s like walking around in just underwear but with the look of a biker short. Like you can answer the door if you need to, LOL. I also like to wear these under sweat pants, instead of a thong or bikini underwear. They are a game changer, trust me!

Clearstem exfoliator

This brand just speaks to me. Anti-aging AND anti-acne! Yes please! Being in your mid 30’s and starting to see signs of aging + still dealing with occasional acne flare ups is not ideal, lol. And most acne targeted products do not address aging at all. In fact they are typically too much on the skin for daily use and cause dryness or irritation. And anti-aging products do not address acne. There are heavy comedogenic ingredients and they are typically just too heavy for someone with combo/congested skin. When I found this brand, I was just like wow, what a great fricken concept. The vitamin scrub is amazing!!! I use it about 3x a week and I just feel like it truly exfoliates the way you want an exfoliator to really deep clean while not making my skin feel tight and overly stripped. I love the two serums by the way too. Im slowly transitioning to this brand cause it works and it’s perfect for my skin type.

Pacifica eye liner

I love this eyeliner. They have a few different colors but this baby purple lilac is just so perfect for the spring season. I like to do a regular wing first and then glide this on top of it. Its very light so this helps it stand out a bit more. Perfect little edition to your look for spring. In case you haven’t realized yet, purple is my favorite color. ;). This brand is a cruelty free, clean beauty company.

Abercrombie & Fitch Tailored pants

The perfect polished spring look. These come in different lengths, are breathable, lightweight but not like linen. These are high waisted and have so many color options to choose from. This is the tan pair and I got a Long length cause I wanted to wear them with sneakers or boots. I am 5’4 for reference and will also get the regular length to pair with sandals.

Thayers Witch Hazel pads

I personally don’t like to cleanse my face in the morning. I usually just splash it with super cold water a few times and then go in with these blemish clearing pads. They are soaked in a witch hazel and salicylic acid solution to thoroughly cleanse the skin while clearing acne causing bacteria. My skin is always the smoothest when I use cleansing pads in the AM. As someone who has congested prone skin, I just need a good quick cleanse before I go in with a serum and SPF for the day. I like the one with lemongrass, but there are other options to choose from.

Uncommon James earrings

I saw these earrings and had to have them. Little mini Huggies with a 3 tiered chain dangling. It is so simple but really elevates your look. Dainty, feminine and chic. I like to wear these in my first hole with another smaller huggie in my second hole or pair these with a larger set of hoops. I believe these come in gold and silver depending on what you prefer. I have loved these since they day they arrived. They do not cause any irritation for me and I do have sensitive skin. I wouldn’t recommend sleeping or showering in these though seeing as the chains could get tangled. I receive compliments on these each time I wear them.

I hope everyone is fully enjoying these warmer months. Summer is a very slow, chill season for me work wise and with that comes time for home projects, more dedicated self-care and quality time with my loved ones. Plus more creative time to work on blogs. I have really enjoyed working on this blog. It’s something that is mentally stimulating and allows me to poor my creative energy into something I can look back at and be proud of. And if I can provide interesting content that others find enjoyable, well that’s just a bonus.
