2023 Winter Favorites
Hi guys and happy March 1st! We are 19 days out till the Spring Season begins. I really cannot wait. The season has already begun here a bit. Warmer weather and bits of whites and pink springing up on the trees.
Totally forgot there were only 28 days this month. I was thinking I had another few days to finalize this post. How is it already March? I missed January favorites so I'm combining both months. I love this time of year. Fresh new start, Holidays packed away, organization, cleansing, romanticism. I am here for it all. Let’s get into some products that I have been loving lately.
Ledda
22 Orris Perfume & Hand Cream
One of my favorite YouTube creators, Stephanie Ledda, created a fragrance line called Ledda. I have been watching her fragrance videos for years. I share a lot of her tastes when it comes to fragrance, so when I saw she was coming out with her own line, I knew I had to try it. Probably one of the few times I would try a fragrance without smelling it first! This is her Youtube page and her Instagram. I am very particular with who I follow and whose content I consume. Stephanie is chill, honest, down to earth, authentic and funny.
Alright let’s get into this fragrance. It is a very difficult scent profile to describe but all I can say is I am in LOVE. It checks all the boxes for me. Minimally sweet, warm and cozy, slightly spicy, soft romantic, and not over powering. It is truly a very unique scent and I do not own anything like this, which makes me love it even more. I wear this all the time now, day or night. It is the scent I gravitate towards. It is perfect for anytime of the day or year in my opinion, but would be an exceptional date night scent. Put it this way, I want to wear this just sitting at home. I want this smell with me at all times. Bravo Stephanie, bravo.
I purchased the gift set which included this hand cream. It has 3% of the 22 Orris fragrance oil so this layered with the perfume is heavenly and a great way to secure your scent longer. I actually am encouraged to re-apply this through out the day because it smells so darn good. It is the perfect size for one the go and is aesthetically pleasing for your vanity, desk, night stand, etc. This hand cream is vegan, gluten and paraben free, soy and nut free and non gmo. It melts in immediately and you are left with soft, smooth hydrated hands that smell amazing! Normally I am not a bougie hand cream kinda girl, but I don’t want to use any other hand cream now. I’m her.
Olive & June
Nail Strengthener + Cuticle serum
I am on a mission to break this awful habit I have of picking at my cuticles. Two things that have really helped this year is consistent use of this cuticle serum and Nail Stengthener. Olive and June make the best nail care products. I love their polishes and press-ons too. Lately i’ve been keeping these two in my living room so that I have easy access and will actually use on a daily basis. The nail strengthener soaks in almost immediately so you don’t have any dry time. I especially love to use this after I have had gels on for a while. This helps smooth out ridges and texture. It gives your nail a strong even look. Celery Seed Extract helps heal and condition the nail surface, preventing peeling, improving white spots, and diminishing ridges. The cuticle serum hydrates and heals the delicate skin around your fingers, which really helps me not pick at my skin. If my hands are hydrated, I am way less inclined to pick.
The Skinny Confidential
Daily Planner
I talked about this planner back in October for that favorites post. But, I thought it deserved to be talked about again seeing as I really starting utilizing it this year. I love the lay out of this planner. The attention to detail with The Skinny Confidential branding is stellar. This planner is cheeky, cute, not dated (which I love), you can start or use it whenever you want and not be bound to writing in it daily. Let’s be real, there are days you just don’t plan, lol. It even has a skin-care routine section to list out your self-care practices for the day. This helps me keep track of when I use certain skin-care products, or when I need to shave/wash my hair, etc. I am someone who thrives off routine so writing even the granular things makes me happy and productive. It’s just simple and to the point.
Ugg
Disquette Slippers
I was 34 years old when I purchased my first pair of Uggs. And of course they are purple. I never really got the whole Ugg boot obsession woman had, even in South Florida where I grew up, if it was under 60 degrees, woman were busting out their Ugg boots. I mean they are cute but nothing special. My mom had gotten me an Anthropologie gift card for Christmas so, as I was obsessing over their site, I came across these Ugg slippers and was like yep, I need those. I loved the color and style so much. They have a couple other color options too, if purple isn’t your thing. I have worn these a lot through out the new year and they are not only cute but very, very comfortable. These will keep your feet so toasty. I was thinking these are more for looks but no, they do the job. I chose this style too cause I thought they were so versatile for the winter months. You could wear these with joggers, leggings, jeans, pretty much everything and it is a nice subtle pop of color.
Anastasia Beverly Hills
Brow Gel
Still in recovery from my stint of over tweezing my brows in the early 00’s. Millennial’s can relate. I have made it my goal to have healthy, full natural eyebrows for life! I don’t want to follow any trends, I just want good eyebrows that are the perfect shape for ME! I have seen thinner eyebrow trends popping up and I am not okay. Like, no way! I want to tell every adolescent girl, you don’t want to go there, just like my mom tried to tell me. It has taken me almost a decade to get them back! LOL. Two things I use consistently are my brow gel in the AM and brow oil in the PM. I have tried many brow gels and Anastasia’s are the best. They don’t leave a weird white residue, don’t flake and most importantly they hold!
+ Live Fraiche
Brow Conditioner
At night, after my skin-care routine I like to apply *castor oil blend as my last step to condition my brow hairs and promote growth. I found this one that has two different applications. A brush and a pen, so you can use it on your lashes too! Previously I would just use regular castor oil but this is very convenient, less messy and perfect for travel.
Sand + Fog
Sand + Paws Candles
This one is for all the pet lovers out there. Is this not the cutest candle?! Gifted from my Mother in Law over Christmas. Sand and Paws was inspired by a dog beach on the California coast. Created by 3 women who wanted to make a beautiful smelling candle that was safe for pets. The vessel itself is so beautiful, but the candle provides a nice clean burn with a light subtle fragrance. These candles are called Sand + Paws but they have more available too through Sand + Fog.
I’ll be back for Spring favorites within the next months. Stayed tuned…. And Happy March Friends! We are getting into some of the best weather. I hope you get some moments outside.
XO,
Charlene
