Target Favorites | Beauty, Lifestyle and Home
Target is one of those places that as an adult, is so much fun. It is bright and well organized. A one stop shop where you can leisurely browse for all the things you love, whilst drinking a Starbucks latte. What more do you need, honestly? Today I am sharing some of the items I’ve purchased over the years that I just absolutely love! I do see these often when I am in there so hopefully you can find some new favorites to throw in your cart.
The Perfect Affordable Blazer
My mom used to shop for our back to school clothes at Target when we were kids, and since then, i’ve loved it. But in the last several years, they really stepped it up with the styles they carry. About 4 years ago when I was going to physical therapy, there was a Target close to my doctors office and I would go in and browse if I had some time to spare. I remember this was the beginning of the fall season, and in FL, so I definitely didn’t need a blazer, but I love fall styles SO much. I saw this blazer from A New Day and fell for it instantly. I have 3 now and have worn them many times. For less than $50 these are structured well, hold up over much wear and have beautiful colors to choose from. Like I said, i’ve had these for years, so I’m not able to find my exact style but, here are the blazers Target offers. They always have great options online or in store for a great place. BLAZERS.
Lounge pants
Sean also loves shopping at Target. The men’s apparel section is also nice. He has gotten a lot of great pieces over the years. During a random stroll through Target one day, while he was looking at some graphic tees, I wandered off and found myself looking at these simple, cute lounge pants. I remember thinking, these are so soft and they look like they will fit well. So I tossed 2 pairs in the cart, without trying them on, hoping I would like them. I now have 5 pairs. Suffice to say, I love them! I sized down 1/2 a size in them and they are perfect. High waisted, slimming, soft, plush, good quality, so comfortable and long enough to cover my ankles, 5’4 for reference. You can find women’s lounge pants too, and while I do have a few great styles for women, these are just have the best fit.
Large plush couch pillows
If you don’t go through the home decor section of Target, I commend you. You are stronger than I am, but also, why not? You are missing out, trust me. We have an oversized couch, that really is like a full sized bed with cushions. We were in need of larger throw pillows that matched the aesthetic, but also. fit the size. These are just that. Oversized, chic, soft, easy to wash and so lux! I have seen these in different color options each time I go and online. If you have a small dog or cat, they will love it too, as you can see above, lol. These are for the couch, just as much as they are for Zeke. They have that faux fur look and feel, and they definitely give any space a cozy, warm feeling.
Naturium skin-care
I have talked about this brand before and shared my love. Even turned my sister onto this cleanser. Created by Susan Yara whom i’ve followed on IG for years before she created her skin-care line, Naturium. She is an influencer skin care enthusiast, from products, tools, routines and general skin-care information. I always seem to learn something when I watch her content. When I saw that she was coming out with her own affordable line and it was going to be available at Target, I was very excited. I new I had to try ASAP. I have tried several of Naturium’s products, but my favorites go to the Niacinamide Cleansing Gel and the Niacinamide gel moisturizer. The gel cleanser foams nicely and cleanses your face well without stripping it too much. The niacinamide gently exfoliates and helps with even skin tone. I have combination/break out prone skin and I love this cleanser. The cream is a gel base so nice and lightweight and cooling. It doesn’t leave your skin tacky either, which some gel creams do.
Kristin Ess Hair Care
If you want more details on this haircare line, read this post. I dive into a bit more there. I tried this brand on a whim. The packaging was beautiful and simple. With clean ingredients and salon quality. I like the fragrance free line which is color and keratin safe, cruelty free, free of added fragrance, sulfates, parabens, phthalates, silicones and gluten. And the cleanse and condition line which is exactly what it is. In addition to the shampoo and conditioner, I have the following items; dry shampoo, blow dry mist, and claifying shampoo and the Air Dry Creme. I have loved every product I have tried and there are lines within this brand too. I think this brand is very underrated!
Mixed Bar Fragrances
I discovered this line from Stephanie Ledda on IG. She is also one of my favorite follows. She has an exquisite fragrance collection. I like a lot of the perfumes she discusses so when she brought up an affordable line available at Target, I was all over it. Gosh I am a sucker, but I choose wisely I assure you. Mix Bar offers eau de parfum and body/hair mist. I have whipped almond, cloud musk, blackberry tonic, and vanilla bourbon. What I like about these is you can layer the scents. Blackberry tonic and whipped almond are so good paired together. They have decent longevity for the price and they look much more expensive than they are. Less than $20 for 1.7 oz bottle! The body mist does not have the same potency or longevity as the perfumes but still are great.
Tip-I like to spritz some in my hair right before I blow dry when it’s still a little damp. It’s an extra little treat.
Let me know if you have tried any of these and what you think! And if you do try any of these let me know too. What are some gems that you have found at Target? You know I need to know.
XO,
Charlene
